12 Principles for Wealth and Success
-35 pieces of advice that will change your life
Written by Gary Vaynerchuk / Translated by Woo Tae-young. Not long after I joined Saeyeodok, thanks to the efforts of the club leader and the members it was chosen as the book club pick of the month, and I received this book as a gift. (MKYU has a knack for motivation.) Gary Vaynerchuk (@garyvee) is a serial entrepreneur and angel investor who quickly grasps trends and introduces them to the public, and he is recognized as a forward-looking figure in the business world.
This book is said to contain his best insights on success and happiness; he organizes the secrets to success into 12 principles, and shows how to apply these principles to 35 common situations.
As for the 12 principles, I couldn't find much that set them apart from other self-help books. But the 35 pieces of advice seem like they would genuinely help. He also speaks about the importance of finding and shoring up your own 1/2 (your particular weak spot).
In my case, it's the tendency to put off facing uncomfortable situations rather than confronting them, and I was able to draw advice from here. Homemakers, office workers, students, business owners—anyone can find advice that fits in this book.
It reads easily because it feels as if he is speaking directly to the reader. Life is something you have to experience for yourself, and because everyone is living a different life, it would be good to refer to the 12 principles and set up principles that fit your own life. Above all, let's find the part we lack among his advice, fill in our 1/2, and live our lives well. Rating ★★★
