A book I love so much. No matter which page of this book you open, there is writing that can lift me back up after I have fallen. The author, while interviewing many people, is said to have taken such detailed notes that you might call him a note-taking fanatic. Those notebooks and papers are countless. Whether because he is good at organizing, he looked back through the notes, selected the stories worth sharing with the world, and made them into a book.
It is, in effect, a collection of successful people's killer techniques. I had organized the books I read in 2022 in Notion, but while converting them into a 2023-style page they got wiped out, so almost all of them are gone. It is upsetting, but I console myself thinking they must remain in some corner of my brain cells...
p.105 Why write a morning journal: 1) To get help in accurately grasping the situation you are currently in. 2) "It is simply pinning my monkey-like, wildly jumping mind onto paper so that I can get through this damned day well."
-
The morning journal is a wiper that cleans the mind. Just by writing down chaotic thoughts (vague worries, restlessness, obsessions, etc.) in a journal, you can face the day with somewhat clearer eyes.
-
Titans do not write journals "to raise productivity." Nor is it to find good ideas or to save notes that can later be published. Every page of the journal is for no one else but only for me.
-
The morning journal, which calmly sets down your chaotic thoughts, provides the "one step" your life needs right now.

Habits of excellent problem-solvers
-
- Board games. Repeatedly read books like von Clausewitz's "On War" or "The Art of War."
-

Do not use a method that succeeded twice.

He firmly believes that you can get the best only if you set the best price. It is not absurd bluster or conceit. For the past 10 years he has eaten, breathed, and slept with photography every day. So his success can be called, so to speak, "an overnight success that took 10 years."
If from the start he had priced his work to match the level customers demanded—that is, if he had left the price to others' decisions—he would not have escaped being third-rate.

Specialization is for insects.

To become an excellent photographer, you must learn the art of storytelling more than photographic technique, and for this you must also develop the abilities of writing, speaking, communication, and presentation.

Success does not need to be complicated. You can just start by making 1,000 people extremely happy. A true fan can be defined as "people who will buy whatever you make."

Every time the company size grows roughly 3 times, everything about the company changes.

Noah Kagan: If you want to truly succeed in business or in life, you must always ask people for something, and you must live while always attempting things that are a stretch.

A young person just starting their social life should seriously contemplate the following three things.
-
- You are not as capable or as important a person as you think you are.
-
- You need to change your attitude a little.
-
- Most of the facts you think you know, or the things you learned from books or school, are outdated or wrong.

When presenting an idea, you fail if you stop at the level of gaining trust. You must be able to gain "super-hardline trust." When you show enormous passion, tireless effort, and a challenging spirit through overwhelming performance, people rush in one after another and ask this: "Wow, when does it launch? How can I get involved?"
